Oil and Acrylic Paintings

"Still Life" Acrylic on Canvas 46" x 36" 2003 This is a painting inspired by Cezanne and it is actually a paint by number. I transferred the design by grid to an old canvas previously painted that I primed over. I got the design from an old Smithsonian Magazine. There were numbers on the design for each color. I went to my local craft store to pick out the colors and numbered them on each bottle cap. There are about 25 colors in all. "Lavender Fields" Acrylic on Canvas 19" x 22" 2011 This frame and canvas came out of an old house that was going to be torn down. It had a rather sad painting of some daffodils in a vase that was done many years ago. I primed over the painting and painted something that was more inspiring to me, which was lavender fields in the south of France. I would use drawings from it for creating pieces in my Printmaking class.
